For a camera that is coming up to its third Birthday, Fuji have been very generous in updating the firmware of the X100. There aren't many companies that would give this level of support and is just another good reason to buy a Fuji product.

So what have Fuji's engineers given us? Well, for starters, and its a big one, faster autofocus! According to the update notes we can expect a 20% increase in autofocus speed which brings up to the level of the X100s, almost.
The minimum focussing distance before you have to flip the macro button is now 30% shorter which is very handy. I did get frustrated when taking close portrait shots only for the camera to misfocus. This goes a long way to relieving the frustration!
